A pepa is one of the most classic biscuits in Argentine baking: a round, crumbly cookie with a small well of fruit jam pressed into the center.
9 de Oro by Molinos Cañuelas makes the supermarket version that almost every Argentine has eaten at some point, filled with sweet quince jam (membrillo), the country's most iconic fruit preserve.

The texture is soft and slightly buttery, not crisp like other biscuits. The membrillo center is dense, sticky and intensely fruity, with that distinctive amber color you can spot from across a tray. Together they make the kind of cookie that pairs equally well with coffee, with mate, or with a glass of cold milk.
