Sapo de Otro Pozo Red Blend 2023

A red blend from Bodega Mosquita Muerta in Mendoza, Argentina. "Sapo de otro pozo" is an Argentine expression for someone or something that stands out from the rest, and this wine lives up to the name: a layered blend that doesn't quite behave like a typical Argentine red.

Deep ruby color with aromas of ripe black fruit, plum, blackberry and a touch of sweet spice from oak ageing. The palate is full and structured, with firm but polished tannins and a long, complex finish.

A wine for special occasions. Pairs beautifully with grilled red meats, slow-cooked stews, hard aged cheeses and dark chocolate desserts. Serve at 16-18°C. Decant 30 minutes before drinking for best results.
